Emu oil (oral)
Tier 3 — weak evidence · Inflammation · Gut
An oil rendered from emu fat that contains a unique fatty acid profile with anti-inflammatory properties. Topical use for skin inflammation has modest evidence, but oral supplementation for gut health and systemic inflammation has very little human research. Animal studies show some promise for reducing gut inflammation. Generally well tolerated.
Dose: 1–2 g/day oral emu oil capsules; human evidence for oral use is extremely limited
