Cultured shiitake mycelium extract sold as an immunomodulator. Best-known small-RCT data is in HPV clearance (Smith 2022); used adjunctively in cancer in Japan. Because it is immune-stimulating, it should NOT be combined with checkpoint-inhibitor cancer immunotherapy (irAE risk) or with immunosuppressants. Generally well tolerated; expensive.
