Phenylpiracetam (Phenotropil)
What it is
A phenylated derivative of piracetam developed in Russia for cosmonauts to improve cold tolerance and cognitive performance under stress. Banned by WADA as a stimulant. Russian clinical trials report improved cognition, reduced anxiety, and enhanced cold resistance. Tolerance develops rapidly with daily use. Not approved outside Russia. Limited independent safety data.
Dose
100–200 mg/day in 1–2 doses; tolerance develops within 1–2 weeks; cycle 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
Time of day & tips
Tolerance develops very quickly — do not take daily for more than 2 weeks. Banned in competitive sports by WADA. Take in the morning — it has stimulant properties. Not available through regulated channels in most countries.
