What it is

A gentle calming herb that may help with anxiety and sleep. One trial found it comparable to the prescription drug oxazepam for anxiety, but with less mental impairment. Evidence for sleep is limited to a few small studies. Generally well tolerated with minimal side effects. May enhance the effects of sedative medications, so use caution.

Time of day & tips
