What it is

Multiple 2024–2025 reviews confirm it modestly lowers blood sugar, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure. Active compound thymoquinone has anti-inflammatory properties. Most supporting trials are small and short-term — treat effect sizes cautiously. Caution: enhances blood pressure and diabetes medications. Use cold-pressed oil only — do not heat. Safety beyond 3 months is limited.
