Tier 3 — Trending
What it is
Concentrated water-soluble pigments (delphinidin, cyanidin, pelargonidin glycosides) from dark berries. Standardised bilberry extract (typically 25% anthocyanins) has moderate evidence for capillary fragility and microcirculation, with smaller-scale evidence for night-vision recovery and metabolic endpoints. Bioavailability is low overall but tissue concentrations in eye and vascular endothelium are surprisingly high relative to plasma.
